The BASC NI team are excited to announce our first Young Shots Clay Target Experience Day to be held in Northern Ireland.
Our host on the day will be James McKeown of Carnview Farms Clay Target Shooting Complex, Ballymena.
This Young Shots Activity Day is kindly sponsored by Jonathan Crawford of Crawford’s Field Sports and we thank Jonathan for his generosity.
The event is open to anyone from 12 to 18 years old.
Activities on the day will include:-
- Clay target shooting under the instruction of BASC Shotgun Coaches.
- Archery
- bird box/insect hotel building
- Gundog dummy throwing competition
Ulster Wildlife will be in attendance with their excellent display on barn owls, where participants will have the opportunity to dissect barn owl pellets under a magnifying glass to carry out some very interesting countryside detective work. The young people will also hear about the ongoing work by Ulster Wildlife to conserve and protect this severely threatened owl in Northern Ireland.
The day will cost £25 and includes a BBQ lunch.
