Category: Sustainable Ammunition Day
BASC invites you to join them on a patterning day at East of England Shooting Ground on 12th December.
The purpose of the day is to ensure you are informed and your gun, choke and cartridge choice are correct for your intended quarry.
On the day you will be greeted by a member of the team, have your gun inspected ensuring it is suitable for steel shot. You will then be briefed on the various types of cartridges available with different wadding systems. You will be given an update on the UK reach process and have any question you have answered.
You will then be taken across to the pattern plate area and fire a number of shots through each barrel, checking pattern densities in line with best practice.
Once you have finished shooting, you will then be invited back to have further discussions and talk about the cartridges used. The session should take no longer than 1 hour- slots available from 10:00 to 15:00.
£35 BASC members, and £45 non members.
Please ensure you bring your shotgun certificate with you on the day. Guns must be suitable for steel shot, chambers 65mm or longer, be either 12 or 20 bore and choked less than half.
To book, please email eastern@basc.org.uk or call 01244 573032.
