Join us for a Deer Best Practice event in the New Forest.
This event is aimed at novice deer stalkers and will cover a broad range of stalking related topics which will be delivered in a series of informative presentations and practical demonstrations.
Topics covered will include:
- Training and stalking opportunities
- Laws and legislation incl. Animal Welfare bill
- Useful kit
- Shot site assessments and follow up
- Carcass extraction
- Gralloching techniques and carcass inspection (subject to obtaining a carcass)
- Use of dogs for tracking wounded deer plus more.
Those attending will need to bring suitable clothing and footwear for both indoor and outdoor conditions.
This event is £50 per person, which includes refreshments and a venison burger for lunch. This event is open to BASC members only.
