We are hosting a gamekeeping information evening at the CAFRE Hill Farm Centre in Glenwherry, Ballymena on Wednesday 11 March 2026, starting at 7pm
Guest speakers on the night will include Merlin Becker, Irish Grouse Conservation Trust’s gamekeeper at Glenwherry. Merlin will talk about the Glenwherry Hill Regeneration Partnership and will also provide an insight into lowland gamekeeping.
Also in attendance will be John Dougal from Thomas Jacks. John will have on display the latest in thermal and night vision equipment, with the Hill Farm offering the perfect backdrop to showcase this excellent technology.
Gary Spence from Fane Valley will deliver an informative talk about cover crops and their usefulness in relation to game birds and wider conservation.
The evening will conclude with a Q&A session on firearms, wildlife legislation and general licences.
