We’re delighted to be teaming up with Burns and Becks Gundog Club to host a fantastic Young Handlers Day on Saturday 11 July 2026 at Newton Rigg in Cumbria.
Young people aged 6–18 years old are invited to join us for a free and fun morning’s training session, working either with their own dog or one kindly provided by a club member.
The morning will also include a range of hands-on activities, including an introduction to the different roles that gundogs perform, best-practice guidance on handling small game, and a gamebird preparation demonstration and taster session.
Two lucky young handlers will also be selected on the day to help represent the club later this year at the Chatsworth Country Fair – more details on this to follow at a later time
