BASC Eastern invites you to come along for an experience to remember.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by BASC staff and introduced to the team over breakfast in the shoot room, followed by a presentation covering guns, shoot safety, species identification, and relevant law and legislation.
You will then be introduced to our experienced coach, who will mentor you while shooting a handful of clays, offering advice and tips that will hopefully help you bag yourself a pheasant or two later in the day.
We will then stop for refreshments at ‘elevenses’, including game meat tasters and a soft drink.
Next, it will be onto the gun bus as we head out for our first ‘walk one, stand one’ drive, giving you the experience of both being a gun on the peg and taking part in the beating team.
A game lunch will then be served- something we will all be looking forward to.
After lunch, we head back out for the final two drives.
We will then move on to a demonstration showing how to pluck and dress a gamebird, which you will be able to take home with you at the end of the day.
This is an event not to be missed, giving your Young Shot the best possible start to their shooting journey.
Please note, this event is aimed at youngsters with some shooting experience and not complete beginners.
The cost for this event is £75 per person for BASC members.
You will need to bring suitable warm, waterproof clothing and a hat.
If the Young Shot is bringing their own gun, please ensure it is a 12, 20 or 28 bore, choked half or less and suitable for steel shot.
Guns can be supplied, please include this on the booking form if required.
