BBC Countryfile Live ‘North’

Due to the outbreak of COVID 19 and government guidance on non-essential social gatherings, BASC has taken the decision to postpone all training courses scheduled up until the end of May.
If you are booked on a course you will be contacted in the next 14 days with details of the new date and venue. We will review all further courses on a daily basis and be led by government advice.
I would like to thank all course participants for being understanding during this difficult period.

BBC Countryfile Live is heading North (15th-18th Aug @Castle Howard)

The popular BBC event is making it’s Northern debut at the stunning Castle Howard (near York). The show has proved a huge success at Blenheim Palace over the last few years and BASC North Look forward to taking part in the shows Northern version.

Often attracting a non shooting audience who are eager to learn about the benefits of shooting this is a perfect opportunity for BASC North to meet people and show the many conservation and community benefits of shooting.

BASC North will be part of the overall National Gamkeepers Organisation (NGO) large countryside stand, featuring a large Taste of Game demonstration kitchen cooking tasty, local, healthy and simple game. This is a great opportunity to watch some demos, try various stunning recipes and ask lots of questions, then grab some recipe information and get cooking game at home.

Our new shooting simulator will also be at the show, giving people the opportunity to shoot walked up grouse on the moor, or challenging running boar  in a wintry wood. Or maybe crossing partridge on a sunny autumn day or duck flighting over water. You can even challenge a friend and see once and for all who is the best shot.
