Intermediate Deer Course (IDC) – Baronscourt Estate, Newtownstewart, N Ireland

Due to the outbreak of COVID 19 and government guidance on non-essential social gatherings, BASC has taken the decision to postpone all training courses scheduled up until the end of May.
If you are booked on a course you will be contacted in the next 14 days with details of the new date and venue. We will review all further courses on a daily basis and be led by government advice.
I would like to thank all course participants for being understanding during this difficult period.

Aim

The intermediate deer course is a two day course designed as a step between DSC1 and DSC2 and the aim is to prepare students for the DSC2, and help any DSC1 holder gain further practical experience.

The course is designed to show the safe and correct way of shooting deer, retrieving, gralloching, inspecting and lardering the carcass. It allows everyone to be supervised on their first culll and provides practical experience in preparing the carcass for human consumption.
