Are you a clay shooter thinking about taking up game shooting?
Join us for our Introduction to game shooting event where we will teach you all about what to expect on the day. We will cover the following:
- Best practice and legislation
- Quarry recognition
- Dress code
- How to hold your gun, load your gun and overall gun safety on the peg
- Peg etiquette
- How to tip at the end of a good day
- How to select the right cartridge and choke
- The use of gundogs
- The roles of keepers, beaters and picker uppers
You will shoot a round of 50 clays on a variety of challenging stands that mimic sporting birds and receive some handy pointers on how to improve your shooting from our expert coaches.
Leaving plenty of time for you to get more practice in before the shooting season starts.
Cost BASC members £60. Participants will need their own shotgun certificate, gun and cartridges (max 28g load).
