Join BASC East on Wednesday 28th February for an introduction to shooting at Grimsthorpe Estate Shooting Ground.

The day includes:

Theory session

  • Shotgun types and calibers
  • Shotgun/cartridges working
  • Shotgun Law
  • Certificate application
  • Shotgun cleaning
  • Sustainable ammo

Practical theory session

  • Safety
  • Quarry identification
  • Range judging
  • Conduct and shoot etiquette
  • Carcass preparation

Shotgun coaching session

  • Dedicated clay shooting session with a BASC shotgun coach

You will need to bring a packed lunch and suitable outdoor clothing for the expected weather.

All other equipment will be provided but if you have a shotgun you are welcome to bring it, providing it’s choked half or less and suitable for steel shot. Please also ensure you bring the relevant shot gun certificate on the day.

Attendees for this event must be 18 or over.

Cost for BASC members is £65pp, non members is £75pp.
