A morning of basic gundog training for those with young or novice spaniels, or those interested in finding out about gundog work.
We will start with a short explanation of the work spaniels do in the field, as well as the benefits of gundog training to pet spaniels.
Handlers will learn about different types of retrieve, harnessing the hunting drive, steadiness and control around distractions, and heel work on and off lead.
All exercises will help handlers understand what motivates their dogs and how to reward their dogs.
The morning will be set up to allow dogs and handlers to progress and achieve goals without the use of fear or punishment.
