BASC East invites you to join them on a patterning day at Mid Norfolk Shooting Ground on 18 October.
The purpose of the day is to ensure you are informed and your gun, choke and cartridge choice are correct for your intended quarry.
On the day you will be greeted by a member of the team and have your gun inspected ensuring it is suitable for steel shot. You will then be briefed on the various types of cartridges available with different wadding systems and given an update on the UK reach process, where we can answer any questions you have.
You will then be taken across to the pattern plate area and fire a number of shots through each barrel, checking pattern densities in line with best practice. Once you have finished shooting you will then be invited back to have further discussions and talk about the cartridges used.
The cost is £35 for members, and £45 for non members. Sessions should take no longer than 1 hour, slots are available between 10:00 and 13:00.
Please ensure you bring your shotgun certificate with you on the day. Guns must be nitro proof, chambers 65mm or longer and choked less than half.
