The BASC NI team are hosting a Range Day for members at Baronscourt Rifle Range, Newtownstewart on Saturday 9th February 2019.

Although primarily aimed at those members who are registered to take part in the Deer Stalking Certificate Level 1 (DSC1) course in February, the Range Day is open to all BASC members.

Those who are registered for DSC1 will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with deer calibre centrefire rifles under the control of a qualified Range Conducting Officer and safety staff. They will also be offered the opportunity to practice the DSC 1 shooting assessment, prior to the course.   This experience will be invaluable when completing the shooting assessment module of DSC1 and further demonstrates BASC NI’s members first approach.   BASC staff will also be on hand to provide information and answer any questions on the forthcoming DSC course.

The day costs £20 per person and those taking part may bring their own rifles, provided that they are held on firearm certificate and that they have been conditioned for zeroing or target shooting on approved ranges.

Participants should bring a packed lunch and wear suitable outdoor, waterproof clothing and footwear.

Please contact the office on 02892 605050 or email nire@basc.org.uk for more information or to book your place.

Please note closing date for booking a place is Tuesday 5th February.

The DSC1 course will run from 23 – 26 February and you can register by visiting https://events.basc.org.uk/events/dsc1-course-baronscourt-estate-newtownstewart-northern-ireland-3/
