BASC and the British Deer Society (BDSNI), are running a “Talking Stalking” evening on Thursday 28 September in the Armagh City Hotel.

BASC’s head of Deer and Woodland Management Martin Edwards, will speak on the British Quality Wild Venison (BQWV) Standard which is a joint UK wide initiative involving BASC and a number of other organisations.

BASC’s Deer Officer James Sutcliffe will also be in attendance, sharing his extensive experience of the use of non-lead ammunition.

Adrian Fitzsimons from BDS NI, will talk about the process of becoming a Food Business Operator (FBO), a topic that will interest many deer stalkers.

We are also delighted to have John Dougal, the NI rep for Thomas Jacks in attendance, displaying a wide range thermal and night vision of products.

Attendees can also take the opportunity to have their deer heads measured during the event.  There is no charge for the head measuring and a BASC certificate will be issued, however if the head is a medal head, there is a £20 fee for the medal.

*****Please note that due to time constraints we have a limited number of head measuring slots available*****

The event which starts at 7:00pm sharp, is only open to BASC and/or BDS members and costs £10 per person.  Tea and coffee will be provided.

Places are limited and we expect this event to book up quickly so please contact the BASC NI office asap to book your place which must be paid for in advance.
