Are you currently involved in Deer Management or looking to get involved and would like to know more about tracking and recovery of Deer
The day will be run by UKDTR (UK Deer Tracking and Recovery) in conjunction with BASC South West and will cover some of the following topics-
- Shot placement and reactions.
- Tracking demonstration.
- Judging distances and marking locations.
UKDTR are a non-profit organisation whose sole aim is to provide a free service to assist deer stalkers and deer managers to track, locate and (if required) dispatch wounded deer. Profit from this event will be donated to UKDTR to assist with their fuel and running costs.
Attendees are required to bring their own packed lunch, however the pub will be open afterwards for anyone who wishes to stay and have a carvery (separate from event). The day commence with a presentation inside the pub and then outside for the remainder of the day so suitable outdoor clothing and footwear is required.
