Are released mallard having a negative effect on the environment? How do they interact with wild mallard, and should we be releasing them?

As part of BASC’s Wing Week campaign, the Eastern team are hosting a brand new event.

This event looks to uncover many of the hot topics such as Mallard release, management plans and the importance of collecting duck wings.

Guest speakers include:

James Green- BASC head of wildfowl and wetlands- discussing best practice guide for shooting ducks and geese along with management plans and the benefit of them.

Tom Cameron- Essex University- discussing mallard release dispersal and how they integrate with wild mallard.

Martin Parker- BASC Head of Firearms- Firearms update.

There will then be a Q and A session open to all.

There will be food and drink available to purchase at the event and also a raffle with some fantastic prizes!

This event is free of charge, but you will need to reserve your place as spaces are limited.
