On the 7th June, we will be hosting a fantastic Women in Shooting Simulated Game Day at the beautiful Graythwaite Estate in the Lake District.

Simulated game days offer an ideal setting for those wishing to transition from clays to live quarry shooting in a safe and relaxed environment. They also serve as an excellent social opportunity for enthusiastic shooters to practice during the offseason.

Members will receive full hospitality throughout the day surrounded by the glorious lake district views and can test their skills on some of the estate’s challenging simulated drives.

The day will start with tea and coffee on arrival, followed by introductions and a safety brief at the Chapel on the estate. We will then provide some updates on the latest topics include the transition away from lead shot, before heading out into the field for the first drive.

Participants will be paired with a partner for the day to share pegs with. Each drive will be paused halfway through to allow the roles of shooting and loading for each other to be swapped over. We will also be providing cartridges loaded with steel shot on one of the drives, to allow attendees the opportunity to try alternatives to lead shot. Our team of BASC coaches  and mentors will be available to check your guns and provide any support required.

Three simulated drives are planned for the day, with elevenses and lunch to be served in between.

For this event you will need to bring with you your own gun, gun slip, certificate and protective equipment including ear and eye protection and a hat. You will also need suitable clothing and footwear for the expected conditions, and we would suggest bringing 250 fibre wad cartridges, preferably 28 grams or lighter.

Cost: £225 per person

This event is open to BASC members only
