Due to the outbreak of COVID 19 and government guidance BASC took the decision to postpone all training courses scheduled up until the end of June 2020. With the restrictions starting to be lifted in different areas of the UK at different rates, we expect courses to start going ahead from the 9th July in England and at later dates in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. All courses will be reviewed on a daily basis and be led by government advice. I would like to thank all our future course participants for being understanding during this difficult period. If your course was postponed or is going to be postponed you will be contacted by a member of staff. The list of current courses are published on the BASC website and are open to booking subject to further government guidance.

The Scottish Youth & the Countryside Education Trust (SYCET), and Hoscote Estate near Hawick in the Scottish Borders, will be holding a Young Shots driven day on Saturday 26th January. Nine places will be available on the day at a cost of £40 each.

Must be a BASC member.
Must be over 14 years of age.
Must have own shotgun certificate.
Include what shooting experience you have (novices are welcome and can be allocated a minder).
Please include (in no more than 100 words) why you should be allocated a place.
Included on the day will be elevenses and lunch in Hoscote House.
BASC and SYCET staff will be there to ensure everyone has a great day and so parents / guardians are not required to stay.
Transport to and from the estate is not provided.
Successful applicants will be chosen and notified by December 3rd.
