Young Shots game shooting skills day
The day is aimed at youngsters that are looking to start shooting live quarry. Youngsters will cover all aspect of a shoot day from safety, the structure of the day, shooting techniques, etiquette and skills to become a sustainable game shooter.
The day includes:
Theory session
- Format of a game day
- Etiquette on peg and throughout the day
- Shotgun Law
- Wildlife law/General licence
- Quarry identification
Practical session
- Safety
- Range judging
- Shooting a range of driven clay targets with BASC Coach
- Carcass preparation
Youngsters will need to bring a packed lunch and suitable outdoor clothing for the expected weather.
All other equipment will be provided but if your youngster has a shotgun they are welcome to bring it.
Time: 10:00 – 14:00. Once your Youngster has been signed in/registered with one of our staff, you may then leave and return at 14.00pm to collect them.
Cost: £40 members / £45 non members
Open to members and non-members.
Age: Minimum 10 years – Maximum age 18 years.
