BASC Eastern invites you to come along for an experience to remember.

Upon arrival you will be welcomed by a BASC Officer and introduced to the team over breakfast in the shoot room followed by a presentation covering guns, safety on the shoot, species recognition, law and legislation.

You will then be introduced to our experienced shotgun coach who will mentor you while shooting a handful of clays, giving you advice and tips that will hopefully help you to bag yourself a pheasant or two.

We will then have elevenses, which will include game meat tasters and a soft drink.

Next it will be onto the gun bus to head out for our first of two ‘walk one, stand one’ drives, giving you the experience of both being a gun on the peg as well as being a part of the beating team.

You can then look forward to a game lunch.

After lunch we move onto a demonstration on how to pluck and dress a gamebird that you will be able to take away at the end of the day.

Followed by a fun quiz and prizes.

This is an event not to be missed, giving young shots the best start to their shooting journey.

Please note, this event is aimed at young shots with some shooting experience.

BASC members and non-members welcome.

The cost for this event is £55pp for BASC members and £65pp for non members. Maximum age 21.

You will need to bring suitable warm waterproof clothing and a hat.

Young shots can bring their own shotgun but it must be choked half or less, nitro proof and suitable for steel cartridges. Please ensure that the relevant shotgun certificate is also present on the day.
