Young Shots – Introduction to Wildfowling Day

Due to the current outbreak of COVID 19 we are delivering courses to government guidelines making sure they are COVID safe. Subject to government guidance and local lockdowns we may have to postpone courses in the future at short notice. If your course is going to be postponed you will be contacted directly by a member of staff to inform you.

BASC and Leicestershire Wildfowling Association have joined forces to offer youngsters the chance to learn about inland duck flighting. The day will begin with clay shooting at Lakeside Shooting Ground with a BASC coach, followed by a tour of Priory Water focusing on conservation & habitat management. Over lunch there will be a talk on Wildfowling, Quarry Identification, Techniques, Ethics and Safety. Then youngsters will head out to the hides for an evening duck flight with experienced wildfowlers.

Bacon rolls and hot drink will be available on arrival but Young Shots will need to bring a packed lunch.

Minimum age: 13 years

Young Shots must bring their own gun and be competent at shotgun shooting
