Young shots are invited to join BASC North and Newcastle Wildfowlers Association for a wildfowling experience day on Saturday 2nd November 2024.
The day is aimed at young shots aged 10-16 years of age with some basic experience of shooting but limited knowledge of wildfowling.
A limited number of places are available for this event which will include a range of activities such as:
- Introduction to Lindisfarne
- Quarry identification
- Wildfowling Kit
- Dangers and safety when out on the marsh
- An evening flight guided by members from the club.
Steel shot cartridges will be provided for the day. Those attending will need to bring with them a nitro proof 12g or 20g shotgun with 2 ¾ chambers, which is choked less than half. Alternative guns can be arranged with prior notice.
You will also need to bring ear and eye protection for the shooting activities and warm and waterproof clothing and footwear suitable for the expected weather and conditions.
Breakfast rolls, Tea and coffee will be served on arrival. Please bring a packed lunch.
