BASC Young Shots members are invited to join BASC North and Preston and District Wildfowlers Association for a wildfowling experience day.
The day is aimed at Young Shots with some basic shooting experience but limited knowledge of wildfowling.
Age 10-16 years
Activities include;
- Clay pigeon shooting under tuition
- Quarry identification
- Dangers and safety when out on the marsh
- Preparing birds for the table.
- An evening flight guided by members from the club.
Steel shot cartridges will be provided on the day.
Those attending will need to bring ear and eye protection, warm and waterproof clothing and footwear suitable for expected weather. They will also need to bring their shotgun certificate and a nitro proofed 12g or 20g shotgun with a 2 ¾ chambers which is choked less than half. Alternative guns can be arranged with prior notice
Breakfast rolls will be served in the morning and a hotpot supper will be provided for dinner.
Cost: £40 per Young Shot.
