Join BASC East on Tuesday 31 March for a Young Shots Introduction to Shooting at Sporting Targets.
The day includes:
Theory session
- Safety
- Shotgun types and calibers
- Explanation of cartridges the different types
- Law and legislation
- Certificate application
- Shotgun cleaning
- Sustainable ammunition
Practical session
- Gun handling and safety
- Range judging
- Conduct and shoot etiquette
- Carcass preparation
Shotgun coaching session
- Dedicated clay shooting session with a BASC shotgun coach.
This event is for attendees 18 years of age or under.
Young Shots will need to bring a packed lunch and suitable outdoor clothing for the expected weather.
All equipment including clays will be provided, but if Young Shots have their own shotgun and license, they are welcome to bring these with them, along with eye protection, hearing protection and a cap. All guns must be nitro-proof, with chambers of 65mm or longer, choked half or less , and must be either 12 or 20 bore.
