Join BASC Wales and experienced trainer Mike Jones of Wauniago Gundogs on this retriever training day to ensure that you and your dog are ready for the forthcoming season.
The event welcomes young dogs or handlers participating in their first ever season to those who have some working experience and would like some advanced tips on how to improve their dog’s performance in the shooting fields in order to successfully retrieve shot game and wildfowl. Dogs and their handlers will experience various scenarios including woodlands and fields with short to mid cover to long rushy wet areas and water. All retrieves will be on dummies, and dogs will need to be a minimum of 16 months old.
Trainer Mr Mike Jones, of Wauniago Gundogs, is a Welsh Retriever Team member. He has vast knowledge of training, working and competition experience, with his most recent success being placed 4th in the 2019 International Retriever Championships with his dog, Buzz.
Availability will be limited to a maximum of 10 places, so we advise that you book early.
