Young Shots activity day, Humberside Shooting Ground.

We are please to announce that we are running another Young Shot activity day at Humberside Shooting Ground over the school Easter holidays. This is the perfect opportunity for youngsters to enjoy a fun filled day of experiences and demonstrations.

The day will include;

  • Clay shooting lesson with a BASC coach (all equipment, cartridges and PPE will be supplied, however, if youngsters have their own gun or equipment please feel free to bring it along).
  • Introduction to deer stalking, from deer species to conservation then the opportunity to practice shot placement on the range with an air rifle (under tuition from a BASC coach)
  • A demonstration on rural vermin control, learn about species balance in the countryside and how animals are harvested for food or controlled to benefit other species.
  • Home loading demonstration, learn about the different types of ammunition and watch a black powder gun demonstration.

Adults are welcome to stay throughout the day and hot drink refreshments will be available.

Note: This is predominately a outdoor day, so participants will need to wear appropriate warm clothing. Lunch is NOT provided so you will also need to bring a packed lunch.
