An Introduction to a Best Practice Gameshoot

Due to the outbreak of COVID 19 and government guidance on non-essential social gatherings, BASC has taken the decision to postpone all training courses scheduled up until the end of May.
If you are booked on a course you will be contacted in the next 14 days with details of the new date and venue. We will review all further courses on a daily basis and be led by government advice.
I would like to thank all course participants for being understanding during this difficult period.

Join the BASC Eastern team to learn everything you need to know about game shooting before heading out and trying it first-hand. You will learn who does what, where, when, how and why so that you understand what goes into running a best practice game shoot. You will receive a welcome presentation about BASC and information about the Code of Good Shooting Practice before a visit to the game chiller to dress birds as oven ready and a visit to a ride to see habitat management, feeders and drinkers. You will then practice on clay pigeons before pairing up with a mentors to experience some late season, driven, birds in woodland. Complete the day with a Q & A session over a late afternoon meal.

Guns will need to bring suitable clothing and footwear for the expected weather, Shotgun, Shotgun Certificate, PPE and Cartridges.
