Join BASC and Team GB Academy Coach Katy Poulsom for a Skeet shooting masterclass.

Katy is a Talent Academy Coach for British Shooting, specialising in Olympic Skeet. She has over seven years’ experience working within the British Shooting pathway and is passionate about supporting athletes to achieve the best possible outcomes in their shooting performance.

Alongside her role with British Shooting, Katy is also a coach for the British Army Female Development Squad (FDS), where she coaches on skeet and sporting targets and plays a key role in the development of female military shooters.

A former national athlete, Katy previously represented England before transitioning from competition into coaching. Although she no longer competes, she continues to shoot recreationally and remains fully immersed in the sport.

Katy is known for her athlete-focused coaching style, strong technical knowledge, and commitment to creating positive, high-quality development environments that help shooters progress with confidence and consistency.

The Skeet Shooting Masterclass offers you a unique opportunity to try or improve your skeet shooting with a professional shooting coach in a small group environment.

The day will start on National Skeet and progress to Olympic Skeet. Katy will aim to explain in detail the fundamentals of the discipline, build confidence in you shooting them and help detect and offer guidance with any technical faults you may have.

The day is open to six participants and will give you the opportunity to shoot a maximum of 125 clays and we would advise you to bring approximately 200 cartridges with you. Cartridges must be 24gram or below and shot size 7 or smaller.

No food is included in this event, so please bring a packed lunch.

In order to attend you must be a BASC member, over 10years of age and a shotgun certificate holder.
